Võ An Khánh (1936–2023, Vietnam) is renowned for his black-and-white photographs of the American-Vietnam War, capturing both frontline life and human resilience. Traveling with guerrilla units in the 1960s–70s, he staged exhibitions in mangrove forests under extraordinary conditions. His iconic works, including Mobile Military Medical Clinic and Extra-curriculum Political Science Class, have since been exhibited internationally, from the International Center of Photography (New York) to the Carnegie Museum of Art (Pittsburgh) and the National Gallery Singapore.
