Thủy Tiên Nguyễn
Thủy Tiên Nguyễn was born in 1993 in Hanoi, Vietnam. She lives and works be Hanoï, Vietnam and Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Thủy Tiên Nguyễn's artistic practice revolves around the transformation of personal and collective memories, examining how they are distorted, translated, and reconstructed over time. Her recent works explore the concept of home and disciplines, often portraying fragmented and ambiguous impressions of domestic objects and how their relationships manifest within and beyond ordinary daily life. Whether through the use of objects, installations, photography, or situations, her practice often takes on the appearance of accidental occurrences or their remnants, leaving behind hints and a sense of disorientation in the spaces she engages with.
Thủy Tiên Nguyễn's work has been presented in numerous institution including Gaswork, London, UK, 2026; Thailand Biennale, Phuket, Thailand, 2025; Frankfurter Kunstverein, 2025; RAY Triennale at Museum Angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2024; Documenta15, Stadtmuseum, Kassel, Germany, 2022.

In her first solo exhibition in Paris, Thủy Tiên Nguyễn reimagines Paris By Night, the legendary entertainment show created for Vietnamese audiences across the diaspora. Through kinetic glass sculptures, the artist approaches this cultural phenomenon as a space where memory, spectacle and collective imagination converge. Moving between personal inheritance and shared mythology, the exhibition considers how images of Vietnam circulate beyond its geographical borders.
